Samuel W.K. Allen was a prominent member of the Kentish Guards, a member and Post Commander of Reno Post No. 6 and in 1898 was the Commander of the Department of Rhode Island Grand Army of the Republic.∼Served in the 11th US Infantry in the Civil War.
