Rathweg, Philip A., age 58 of Miami Twp., passed away Saturday October 30, 2004. Philip was president of Rathweg Insurance Associates, Inc. He was a graduate of Chaminade High School in 1964 also the University of Notre Dame 1968 where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, received his MBA at the Wharton School in 1970. Past president of Chaminade-Julianne Alumni Association. Member of the Board of Trustees, Catholic Social Services. Member of the Board, Maria Anna Brunner Fund, (Sisters of the Precious Blood.) He was a volunteer at the St. Vincent Hotel, was former Treasurer of the Kettering sister City Committee, Member of St. Albert the Great Church, the Notre Dame Club of Dayton, K of C Council 500, member of the Elks Lodge #58 and the NCR Country Club. Philip was also an Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, three daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Marc Adrian of St. Louis, Maureen and David Rogero of Boston, Mary Jo of St. Louis; a son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Courtney of Kettering, three grandchildren, Benjamin, Elise Adrian and Caitlyn Rathweg; a sister and brother-in-law Mary Vivian and Ronald White of Tiffin, OH and a brother and sister-in-law Richard and Patricia of Midway, GA. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 4 at St. Albert the Great Church preceded by a prayer service 9:30 at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Avenue. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Vincent Hotel, envelopes available at the funeral home.
