Sarah Alice Best Hinken Sikes, age 71 passed away Tuesday October 4, 2011 at Memorial Health Medical University in Savannah from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. The Bulloch County native had lived in Southern California for thirty years moving back to this area in 1995. She retired from Goody's Department Store and was a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church. She loved to crochet, bake and attend to her flowers. She also loved traveling and was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James W. Sikes, Jr.

She is survived by:

Her daughter and son in law, Sarah Anne and Michael Mackey of Martinez, CA

Sisters and brothers in law, Ethel and Eulie Perkins of Springfield
Amy and Bud Floyd of Statesboro
Ann and Tommy Guillian of Hannahan, SC

Adopted family, Jerry and Diane Hutcheson and their family of Collins

Several nieces and nephews also survive

Visitation will begin at 2:00pm Sunday October 9, 2011 at Beulah Baptist Church in Pembroke.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Sunday October 9, 2011 at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery in Pembroke.
