Edward I. "Ed" Adams, age 83, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008.
Services were held Monday at Eatonton Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Adams was a native of Eatonton and was the son of Judge M. F. Adams and Sara I. Adams. He was a decorated veteran of World War II, serving in the Third Infantry Division. Mr. Adams was the recipient of five Purple Hearts.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Martha M. Adams; three children, Eddie Adams Jr. and wife Susan of Cumming, Dorothy Adams Ford and husband Frank of Eatonton, and Kathy Adams Guthrie and husband Howard of Peachtree City; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
