Memorial stone placed at Dean's Ridge since Joshua and Deans lived here as there primary residence, even today most families we intermarried from Revolution days are still here in Wayne County, Kentucky, including Deans.

On Feb 24, 2011 a ceremony was held to honor Joshua Dean, Revolutionary War soldier, and his son James Dean/Dane, soldier in the War of 1812. The ceremony was sponsored by the Wayne County Museum and two grave markers were placed near their burial location on the old family plot.
