Isabella died in childbirth, having borne a son, H(arry) Foster Jones, who became a professor of English at the University of North Dakota.
Her husband Rev. Henry W. Jones, was a freshly-minted minister, who eventually moved to California and remarried. He was installed May 24th, 1866 as pastor of the Evangelical Congregational Church, Main St, Hingham Center, which was organized Dec. 21st, 1847. She had taught at Monson Academy, the same school from which her husband graduated.
Her father, whose gravesite is unknown, was Sherlock Foster (1785-1836). Her mother was a descendant of William Bradford, governor of Plymouth Colony.
