Elizabeth 'Mehitable' Graves was born 25 April 1671 in Concord, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts and died on 4 April 1730 in Lyme, New London, Connecticut.

She was the daughter of Benjamin Graves (1645-1715) and Mary HOAR (1648-1697).

On 26 Dec 1706 in Connecticut, Elizabeth married Joseph Jonathan Beebe (1684-1756). Their marriage information was found in the 'U.S. and International Marriage Records' and mentioned in the Barbour Collection (see below).

Elizabeth and Joseph had at least six children:

Joseph (1707 - ), Jonathan (1709-1759), Ephraim (1712-1752), Stephen (171- ), Simeon (1720-1777) and daughter Mehitable Beebe (1721-1746).

MARRIAGE INFO FOR ELIZABETH & JOSEPH JONATHAN BEEBE
After looking through various information on the internet and the Barbour Collection, I believe that "Joseph" Beebe is actually Joseph Jonathan Beebe (1681-1756) and is the son of John Beebe (1661-1752) and Elizabeth ?? (b. 1659) - although John's marriage to Elizabeth has to be confirmed.

However, according to the Barbour Collection - JONATHAN Beebe married Elizabeth [Mehitable] Graves on Dec 26, 1706, but elsewhere in these records, JOSEPH Beebe married Elizabeth Mehitable Graves. This would make sense if his given name was Joseph, but he was called Jonathan [or at times Joseph] and would be supported by the Barbour Collection where children are born to JOSEPH and Mehitable Beebe. Further support may be that his sons were named Joseph and Jonathan, in that order.

I believe John (1661) had a son Joseph Jonathan Beebe. The American Genealogical-Biographical Index (AGBI) indicates a Joseph Beebe was born in 1684 (no parents named). The U.S. and International Marriage Records, 1560-1900 show that a Joseph Beebe (b. 1684) married Elizabeth Graves in 1706. Also, the U.S. and International Marriage Records, 1560-1900 indicate that Joseph Beebe (b. 1681) married Mehitable Elizabeth Graves in 1706. I am guessing that these are the same couples despite the slight difference in date of birth for John.

The Barbour Collection (Barbour Collection - Connecticut Town Birth Records, pre-1870 Derby Vital Records 1655-1852) indicates that a Jonathan Beebe married Elizabeth Graves in 1706. In addition, a Joseph Beebe and Mehitable had sons Jonathan and Joseph (as listed in the Barbour Collection - Connecticut Town Birth Records, pre-1870 (Barbour Collection)). As you can see, some of this information has sources attached, but I cannot confirm the Beebe relationships at this time (John then Joseph). Would welcome any further information on this.
