Mr. Andrew J. Selph died at his home in the Clements Chapel community on Jan 12, 1929, after a lingering illness of many months. He came to this county from Dooly county several years ago, and was a respected and honored citizen, having lived to a ripe old age. He leaves a wife, two sons, J.W. of Barnesville, Ga., D. Walters of Sycamore; two daughters, Mrs. A.J. Selph, Jr., of Sycamore and Mrs. J.F. Pate of Vienna. He was a devout member of Clements Chapel Methodist church and his funeral was conducted from there by his pastor, Rev. C.E. Dell, on Sunday afternoon. Interment took place in the church yard.
