78, London, formerly of Harlan County, passed away Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. Wanda was born February 5, 1933 in Whitley County. She was a homemaker and attended the First Baptist Church in London.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Couch; two daughters, Julie Ann Couch and Cathy Rose Couch; her parents, Noah Skidmore and Julia Bishop Skidmore; three brothers, Harley, Harold and Ernest Skidmore; and one sister Geraldine Skidmore.
Survivors include seven children, Gary Couch, London; Larry Couch and wife, Cathy, Atlanta, GA; Karen Couch, London; Kay Chumbley and husband, Larry, London; Terry Couch and wife Marsha, Somerset; Robert Couch and wife, Anita, Somerset; and Jimmy Dale Couch and wife, Haley, London; two brothers Noah Skidmore Jr. London; and Jim Skidmore, Atlanta, GA. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday from 2 until 8 PM in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 2 PM in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Donnie Harrison officiating.
Burial will follow in the Putney Cemetery, Putney, KY. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
