Death of Mrs. P.L. Almand
Passed away last night at the residence of her daughter
Mrs. P.L. Almand died last night at 7:45 o'clock at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Nannie Phillips, 127 Walton street. She had been in feeble health for several months. She was 73 years of age.
Mrs. Almand was a member of the Methodist church and had lived a consecrated Christian life. She had large numbers of friends. The deceased is survived by three children, Mrs. Nannie Phillips, A.W. Almand, 24 Orange street, and Mrs. G.G. Welch, Columbia, Miss., also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the St. Paul Methodist church on East Hunter street. The interment will be in Oakland cemetery. The following gentlemen will act as pallbearers: M.L. (Marvin Lawrence) Thrower, N.O. (Noland O.) Thrower, B.E. Palmer, C.O. Welborn, W.V. Phillips, Earnest Schenck, Emele Schenck and Evans Almand.
