Found in The State 28 September 1953: Mrs. Olive Sheely Moore, 57, wife of Assistant State Bank Examiner Henry A. Moore of 1200 Hagood St., died yesterday afternoon at the Baptist Hospital after being stricken earlier at their home. A native of Ballentine, she was the daughter of the late Samuel F. and Sarah Swygert Sheely. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church of White Rock. Mrs. Moore was employed as a bookkeeper and office worker with the Thomas, Cain and Nettles law firm. She was formerly with the Thomas and Lumpkin law firm for 30 years. Mrs. Moore devoted much of her time to the Richland County Tuberculosis Association, serving as treasurer for 30 years. Survivors include her husband; one sister, Mrs. R. E. Cook of Lexington; two brothers, W. Curtis Sheely of Ballentine and Ellis L. Sheely of Columbia, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Note: a Find A Grave contributor informed me that her middle name is Harvard. I have seen it spelled Harward in family trees online. I cannot confirm either. If anyone knows of a source for this, please email me.
