Russian theatre actor and director. He played at the Moscow Artistic Theatre and 1st Studio. In 1922 he emigrated first to Berlin, later to Paris. He was a member of the Prague group of the Moscow Art Theater (1922-1929), participated in its tour to Paris in 1926. In 1929 he joined the company of the Russian intimate theater of Dina Kirova. After he retired, he lived in the Russian House in Korma-en-Parisi.
