Pauline E. Alcorn, 86, of Petersburg, formerly of Chandlerville, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg. She was born Nov. 12, 1916, in Newmansville, the daughter of Lloyd C. and Hilda Tieman Mathew. She married Virgil T. Alcorn in 1935 in Petersburg; he died in 1992. Mrs. Alcorn graduated from Petersburg High School. She was a secretary at Chandlerville High School for many years. She was a member of Chandlerville Christian Church, Chandlerville Women's Club, Chandlerville American Legion Post 694 Auxiliary and Cass County Home Extension. Survivors: two sons, Dale (wife, Judy) Alcorn of Quincy and Darrel Alcorn of Pekin; three grandchildren; a great-granddaguhter; a sister, Elizabeth (husband, Donald) Smith of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Chandlerville Christian Church. Burial: Chandlerville Cemetery. Lintner-Buchanan Funeral Home in Chandlerville is in charge of arrangements.
