Dancer, Art Figure. She gained fame for being rising to be a headlining "can-can" dancer at the famed Moulin Rouge Cabaret night club in Paris, France at the end of the 19th century. In 1893 her portrait was painted on a poster by
artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and his artwork helped to further her popularity and fame during the height of her career.
