GLADE SPRING, Va. Jimmy Ray Fisher, 58, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011. He was born March 16, 1953, in Wytheville, Va. and was a son of the late Eugene and Mattie Clemons Fisher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Maynard Fisher; two sisters, Lorraine Wyka and her husband, Vick, and Rachel Bishop. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Marie Fisher; two sons, Christopher Fisher and wife, Tasha, of Glade Spring and Steven Ray Fisher and wife, Samantha, of Damascus, Va.; four grandchildren, Gregory, Leland, Gracie Rhea and Aubrey Michelle Fisher; one brother, Clayton Fisher of Wytheville and his son, James; two sisters, Charlene Fowler and husband, Jerry, of Wytheville and their children, Debbie, Andy, Randy and Robbie and Irene Folden of Florida; sister-in-law, Linda Fisher and her children, Jill, Mike and Mattie; brother-in-law, Walter Bishop and his children, Joey, Nathan, Pat, Anthony and Christine; Lorraine and Vick's children, Curtis and Yevonne; and former sister-in-law, Doris Fisher. The family would also like to extend special thanks to all the friends who have been there for them during his illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor James Walls officiating. Interment will follow in West End Cemetery in Wytheville. Pallbearers will be Gary Delp, Josh Dean, Caleb Dean, Junior Pope, Christopher Fisher and Steven Fisher. Honorary pallbearers are Robbie, Andy and Randy Fowler. The family will be receiving friends at Farris Funeral Service from 12 p.m. until the service time on Friday.
