Kenneth Wayne Houseman, resident of Sunnyvale, entered into rest on October 10, 2010 in Sunnyvale, California. Born on July 25, 1915 in Brentford, South Dakota, he was 95 years old. He is preceded in death by his wife Florence Houseman and his two sons, Douglas and Bill. Loving father of Ron (Dianne), Myron, daughter-in-law Jayne (Pete) Kelly and Dena Houseman. Cherished grandfather of Leslee Massey, Donovan Stanton and Douglas Houseman, great-grandfather of Tyler, Joe Deets, D.J., Hayley Renee and Paige Marie Stanton. He loved his "Darling Florence' and their four boys. He loved his home in Sunnyvale, loved working for 37 years at Westinghouse and loved listening and watching the SF Giants play. He was a humble and quiet man, yet quick witted with an often humorous comeback to some remark or comment. Thanks to dad we have volumes of written memoirs spanning a lifetime. He was an avid letter writer all of his life. We will miss dad's care packages of letters, clippings, jokes and memorabilia, but especially we will miss dad. Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Service on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 1:30pm at Oak Hill Funeral Home's Chapel of Roses, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125. Graveside will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park, San Jose. Viewing was held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 5pm until 9pm.
