He was born Dec. 18, 1926 in Peoria to Anulfo and Maria Garcia Gonzalez. He married Mary Theresa Sierra in 1960 and she died in 1977. He then married Barbara Ashman in 1980 and she died in 2008. He was also preceded in death by a son, Anthon; two brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by five sons, Miguel, Chicago; Tomas (Debbie), Aurora; Timothy, Springfield; Marvin, Chicago and Arnold (Anne), Peoria; one daughter, Cecilia (Randall) Deemie, Colorado Springs, Colorado: 12 grandchildren, Marco Gonzalez; Sierra Gonzalez; Jessica Fowler; Daniel, Alexander, Cecilia, Gibson, Sophia and Benito Gonzalez; and Randall Jr., Timothy, and Salina Deemie; four great-grandchildren and three siblings, Victor (Dora) Gonzalez, Chillicothe; Lena Rivas, Peoria and Alexander Gonzalez, Yuma, Arizona.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, receiving the American Campaign and World War II Victory medals
