Ruby was the daughter of Zachariah "Zack" Pulliam and Susan "Susie" Slattery. She married Selbert Hedges on December 13, 1941 in Franklin County, Kentucky.

Funeral services for Ruby Pulliam Hedges, 92, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home.
Brother Odis Clark will officiate. Burial will follow in Bagdad Cemetery.
Ms. Hedges died Monday at the Lantern in Frankfort of natural causes. A native of Mt. Zion, she was a line worker at General Electric and member of Graefenburg Christian Church and Franklin Co. Senior Citizens.
She was the daughter of the late Zackary Robert and Susan Mary Slattery Pulliam. She was preceded in death by husband, Selbert Hedges, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her brother, Chester (Pauline) Pulliam, sister-in-law Lula Bell Bryant of Lexington, and 16 nieces and nephews.
Bearers will be Dr. Joe Pulliam, Darrell Pulliam, Jeff Franklin, Patrick Coleman, Edward "Sonny" Bayes, Jr. and Steve Pulliam.
