Tuschy, Richard

Richard Tuschy departed this life and went to his Heavenly Home surrounded by his family on May 4, 2009 at the age of 82. Richard was born in Hayes, May 5, 1926, to the late Otto and Edna (Firgens) Tuschy. Richard married Lois Schuettpelz May 17, 1952, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Breed. He was a Licensed Cheese maker, and worked on road construction for Timme Inc. until retiring. He enjoyed doing carpentry work, helping people, hunting, fishing, playing cards, traveling with his wife, and watching his grandchildren participate in various activities. Richard and Lois were Grand Marshals in the 2007 Suring Labor Day Celebration. Richard was a very active member at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Breed, where he held various positions.

Richard is survived by his wife, Lois Suring; a son, Larry (Kathy) Tuschy, Suring; two brothers, Harold (Joann) Tuschy, Suamico; Allan Tuschy, Suring; five sisters, Helen Strehlow, Suring; Angeline Schauer, Spokane, Wash.; Vila Hischke, Suring; Lorna (Weldon) Presho, Veradale, Wash.; Linda (Larry) Zettle, Green Bay; four grandchildren, Steven Tuschy, Madison; Philip (Sharon) Tuschy, Suring; Jennifer (fiance, Jason Fedendael) Tuschy, Suring; Robert (fiancee, Katie Powels) Behrend, Green Bay; many other relatives, and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Behrend; his granddaughter, Alicia Behrend; and his sister, Joyce Bertch.

Visitation will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home on Thursday, May 7, 2009, from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation continues on Friday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Breed from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Scheunemann officiating. Burial to follow in Breed Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Breed.
