He pastored and co-pastored several churches in the Sissonville area for more than twenty-two years of his ministry.
He was a member of Maranatha Fellowship Church in St. Albans, where he worked to help develop the spiritual lives of people who had just begun their walk with the Lord, by training and instructing them God's Word. He also was part of the Altar Workers Team, and Men's Ministry, M.A.S.H. ("Men After the Savior's Heart").
He will always be remembered for his loving and gentle spirit, his love for people his love for his family, his country and his Lord, and a smile that brightened up any room or area he entered. May he rest knowing that he fought the fight, kept the faith and never wavered in that faith.
He was a Christian who loved the Lord with all his heart and he will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Surviving are his wife, Debra, who will miss him beyond what words can express; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Angela Dorsey of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; son, Matthew C. Dorsey at home; mother, Imogene Dorsey of Sissonville; brother and sister-in-law, David and Connie Dorsey of Sissonville; niece and nephew, Zander and Angel Dorsey; and a host of family and friends.
