Mrs. Sarah A. Hudnall, nee Downing, died of the infirmities of old age at the home of her son-in-law, E.S. Zugg of this city, Wednesday morning Sept. 5, 1900, at 3:50 o'clock, aged 89 years, 3 months and 8 days.
Deceased had been in feeble health for several months, therefore the intelligence of her death was not a surprise. she was a sister of the Hon. W.G. Downing, of St. Louis, and had lived in this county in or near Memphis for many years. In her declining years she lived with and was cared for and nursed by her daughter, Mrs. Zugg. she was an estimable lady and will be missed and mourned by a large circle of friends and relatives. Funeral services will be held today at the family residence after which the body will be laid to rest in the cemetery.
