Dorothy Bennion Potter passed away on September 28, 2011.

Born to Angus and Nettie Bjork Bennion on March 4, 1923, she was married to Arlin R. Potter on June 18, 1946.

Dorothy is well-known in local church, community, and throughout family as one who enjoyed helping people, making them feel wanted and welcome.

Active in politics and church, hiker, camper, cook, musician and seamstress, Dorothy thought only the best of others, giving them always the benefit of the doubt. Dorothy was much beloved and will be sorely missed.

She is pre-deceased by daughters Karen (Tom) Schumann, Jane (Peter, div.) Jenkins, brother David (Frances) Bennion, and survived by daughters Gwenna (Clyde, div.) Gowers aka Gwyneth McNeil, Jolene (David) Clawson, son Kent B. (Nancy) Potter, sister Joyce (Richard, deceased) Peaden, Frank (Alyce) Bennion, twenty-one grandchildren, and thirty great-grandchildren.

The viewing will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 7:00 p.m., and the funeral on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m., both located in the Pleasant View First Ward Building (650 East Stadium Avenue, Provo, UT). There will also be a viewing held prior to the funeral at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The family invites all of Dorothy and Arlin's friends to come and help celebrate Dorothy and her righteous life well lived.
