Irene E. Moe, 87, of Chippewa Falls and formerly of the town of Lafayette, died Sunday evening, September 18, 2011, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.She was born January 13, 1924, in Chippewa Falls to Minnie (Frerking) and Robert White. She was raised in the town of Lafayette, attended Elm Grove School and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1941.
Irene married Robert J. Moe on November 8, 1944, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. They have resided in the town of Lafayette since their marriage. Irene and Bob were members of St. Bridget's Parish.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; two daughters, Jacqueline (Gary) Pitts of New Auburn, Jeanne (Helene) Benink of Madison; three sons, James (Judy) Moe of Chippewa Falls, Jerome Moe of Cadott, Joseph Moe of Chippewa Falls; a sister, Marie Webb of Chippewa Falls; two brothers, Paul (Louise) White and Verner (Lillian) White, all of Chippewa Falls; five grandchildren, Brian, Celeste and Katlyn Moe, Melissa Knutson, Michael Swoboda; six great-grandchildren, Dakota, Daniel and Dionna Pitts, Madeline and Alex Moe, and Grace Meyer; and several nieces; nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Clifford White.
