Shirley L. Tucker, 73 of Clyde, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Clyde Cemetery with Rev. Clayton Pennington and Dr. Toby Henson officiating, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tucker was born February 8, 1935 in Noodle, Texas to Lloyd Waylon Barnes and Bertha L. Ueckert Barnes. She attended school in Sweetwater, Seagraves and graduated from Clyde High School in 1953. Mrs. Tucker also attended Mary-Hardin Baylor University. She came to Clyde from Seagraves in 1951. She married Silas Tucker on June 10, 1955 in El Paso. She worked for Merchant's Fast Motor Lines for 33 years. Mrs. Tucker was a member of First Baptist Church in Clyde.
