Naomi Ruth Gentry, 74, of Poplar Bluff died at home surrounded by her family Friday, Jan. 23, 2004. Mrs. Gentry was born Jan. 7, 1930 in Moark, Ark to the late Edgar Cleveland and Ruzia Leoda (Vedeir) Dell, and was a member of the Cornerstone Tabernacle Church. She had a great love for others, for life, and most of all for the Lord. She was treasured by her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family, church family friends, gardening, praying and reading her Bible. Mrs. Gentry was retired from Rowe Furniture in 1995. She was involved with the American Cancer Society and the Relay for Life. She was a volunteer or the Northside Nutrition Center. In 1947 she married James Marshall Morgan. He died in 1961. On June 24,1977 she married Joseph Robert Gentry. He died Sept. 14 1995.

Surviving are children, Janet Li and husband Dr. Ken Li of Poplar Bluff; Thomas Morgan and wife Pam of Dexter; Linda Morgan of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren, Stephanie Goodrich of Poplar Bluff, Tonya Gallegos and husband Adolph of Poplar Bluff, Michelle Morgan of Poplar Bluff, Lance McLane and wife Ashley of Poplar Bluff; five great-grandchildren, Austin Goodrich, Brian Goodrich, Tyler Morgan, Caitlyn McLane, Jaci McLane; four sisters, Leona Cox of St. Louis, Florabell Earnheart of Clarkton, Helen Taylor of St. Louis, Geraldene Dell of Hillview, Ill.; and two brothers, Jack Dell and Leroy Dell both of St. Louis.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the Cornerstone Tabernacle Church. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Bryan Parkey officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
