James A. Marbut Dies After Lengthy Illness
James A. Marbut, 79, 23 S. Urbana ave., retired Missouri farmer and stockman who had lived in Tulsa for the past 17 years, died at his home Thursday night following an extended illness.
Mr. Marbut was born at Verona, Mo., Dec. 21, 1867, the son of a pioneer Southwest Missouri family. He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Dale C. Keith, 1729 S. Evanston ave., and a brother, E. Marbut, of Little Rock, Ark.

James A. Marbut Rites Set for 3:30 P.M. Today
Last rites for James A. Marbut, 79, 25 S. Urbana ave., retired Missouri farmer, who died Thursday night at the home, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Dr. D.H. Bascom Watts, pastor of the Boston Avenue Methodist church, will conduct the service in the Winterringer funeral chapel and interment will be Rose Hill cemetery.
Mr. Marbut, son of a pioneer southwest Missouri family, had been a resident here 17 years. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Nota Marbut; a daughter, Mrs. Dale C. Keith, 1729 S. Evanston ave.; a brother, E. Marbut, Little Rock, Ark., and 1 grandchild.
