Olive Branch - EVELYN BELLE ASH TAYLOR. Heaven's gates sprang open wide for Evelyn Belle Ash Taylor, 79, Sunday, October 2, 2011, when God welcomed His precious and faithful child home. She left her much loved family and friends after a long battle with Parkinson and Alzheimers. She was a former member of Southland Baptist Church, where she served her Lord faithfully as a ladies Sunday School teacher. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church. She was a bookkeeper for many years at Clayton Brown Co. and retired from Federal Express. She is a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Eleanor Pearl Ash, a son, Donny Taylor and a sister, June Foster. She is survived by her faithful husband of 59 years, Boyd Taylor; a daughter, Susan Taylor Jones and son-in-law, Otis Jones; two granddaughters, Ashley Jones Borden (Kyle); Christy Jones Crawford (Ken); three great-grandchildren, Makayla Jones; Evelyn Rhyan Borden; Chyles Crawford; four sisters, Ouida Williams, Byhalia; Eunice Tynes, Memphis; Ann Busby, Olive Branch; Mildred Byrd (Phillip), Holly Springs; two brothers, Warren (Norma)and Dennis (Judy) Ash, both of Holly Springs and second Mama to Bert Moore, III, Olive Branch. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, with services at 12 p.m., Wednesday, both at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown.
