Mr. Moore was vice president of the Camp Meeting Ass. and was made a trustee of the Chautauqua Assembly. He has been, at Chautauqua, lecturer, answering questions of speculative philosophy or theology, which always engaged his attention. He was one of the editors of the Chautauqua Daily Herald during its first 15 years. He contributed to many church papers and the Methodist Review. He authored 5 volumes; "Ida Norton, or Life at Chautauqua; Matter, Life and Mind; Sickness as a Profession; The Anatomy of Atheism; The Republic to Methodism, Debtor." he had a degree of Doctor of Divinity. He was a member of the general conference in 1880, '84 and '92, and for a term of 4 year s was a member of the book committee in charge of publishing church interests.

He became quite famed and was cremated and buried in Calif,Homer Moore was born April 29, 1863 in Chautauqua County, NY. His father, H.H. Moore, was active in the Chautauqua Assembly and was a local farmer. Homer Moore died in May of 1952 and while the exact date is unknown, he was cremated and interred at Forrest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, CA on May 14, 1952.
