MATTOON - Alta E. Lovall, 97, of Mattoon died Monday (Oct. 3, 2011) at 12:31 p.m. at Mattoon Health Care Center. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Hutchens officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Mattoon. She was born Oct. 31, 1913, in Centralia, the daughter of Hosea and Bessie Hart Cutright. She married Ralph Lovall in 1934; he died in 1986. Survivors include two sons, Larry Lovall of Coco, Fla., and Ronald Lovall of O'Fallen, Mo.; one daughter, Patricia Reed of Vandalia; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son; two daughters; three brothers; four sisters; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Lovall was formerly employed with Brown Shoe Factory.
