Elizabeth (Hammer) Henrichs was born on February 22, 1886 in Lillehammer, Norway. At age 15 in 1903, she moved to Valley City, ND. There Elizabeth married William F. Henrichs, Sr. on October 22, 1908 in Barnes Co., ND. Sometime later the couple would go on to farm in the south east of Surrey Township in Ward, ND. They moved to Minot in 1940 and Mr. Henrichs died in August 1945. Mrs Henrichs was a member of the Lutheran Church in Norwich, ND and the Minot Senior Center. Elizabeth was also a Gold Star Mother for the loss of her son William,Jr.(Bill) during WWII.
Surviving children: Frances (Clarence) Rasmuson of Surrey, ND; Elmer (Marie) Henrich of Dilworth, MN; Margaret (Alvin) Iverson of Plentywood, MT and Florence (Tod) Anderson of Minot. A daughter-in-law Vera (Roland) Henrichs of Minot; a former daughter -in-law, Yvonne (William F. Henrichs, Jr.) Bunney of Snohomish, WA.
She was preceeded in death by her husband William F. Henrichs Sr.; three sons: Erling O. Henrichs, William (Bill) F. Henrichs, Jr. and Roland (Ick) Henrichs. A daughter Velma E. (Irving )Bryanelson and her dear friend, Robert "Bob" Schmidt.
Friends of Elizabeth may call Friday from 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM and Saturday from 9:00-10:30 AM at Thomas Funeral Home in Minot Service time will be at 11:00 AM and burial in Rosehill Memorial Park in Minot, ND"
