He was born to Elizabeth Bond but raised and adopted by a Mrs. Lowe (who later married a Mr. Smith). Frank's various occupations were shoemaker, shopkeeper, and postmaster. Through Y-DNA testing, it has been discovered that Frank's biological father was a Krout - descendant of Jacob Adam & Anna (Renoll) Krout.
