HORACE C. WINSLOW Sr.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in Auburn, N.Y. for Horace C. Winslow, Sr., native of Bennington and 37 year resident of Auburn and a retired farmer there.
Father of Donald Winslow of Bennington, he died Friday at Auburn Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He resided at 7 Ketchell St., Auburn, and was a longtime member of Bennett Federated Church in Auburn.
Besides his widow, the former Eva Baker, and his son in Bennington, he leaves three other sons, Horace Jr. and Francis both of Auburn, and Kenneth of Atlanta, Ga., and three great grandchildren, 10 grandchildren, three brothers, John of Bennington, Robert of Pittsfield, Mass. and Charles of Londonderry, N.H., four sisters, Mrs. Sherman Sweet, Mrs. Glen Lane, Mrs. Harold Andrews, and Mrs. Leo Plante of Bennington; nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Soule Cemetery, Auburn.
