Mary T. Cricket, 89, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Wichita Falls, TX. Services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, August 9, 2012 in Lunns Colonial Chapel with Rev. Larry Shields, associate pastor of Faith Baptist Church, officiating. A private burial will follow these services under the ion of Lunns Colonial Funeral Home.
Mary was born March 30, 1923 in Granite, OK the fifth child of Tip and Bell Henson Wiseman. She married William Joe Cannedy on December 29, 1962. They were married for 12 years when he passed away July 23, 1974. Mary was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kristy, one sister, Leova Moss, and four brothers, Glen, Rumel, Allen, and Lee Wiseman.
Mary was a housewife and a member of Faith Baptist Church. Known as Cricket to her friends, Aunt Cricket to her family, and Nanny to her grandchildren, she was most importantly known as Momma to her daughter.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Cannedy Pollard of Wichita Falls, 2 sisters, Pauline Faison of Bethany, OK, and Nadine Hughey of Mangum, OK, and 4 grandchildren, Kristen, Dylan, Lexis and Bailee Pollard, and by countless nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening 6:007:00 PM for visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Attn: Donor Services, PO Box 650309, Dallas, TX 752650309 or to Alzheimers Association, North Central Texas Chapter, 101 Summit Avenue, Suite 300, Fort Worth, TX 76102 or to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd., Wichita Falls, TX 76310.
