Professional Hockey Player. Halliday who was born in Ottawa, Ontario, on September 21, 1906, played the position of Left Wing for teams in the National Hockey League (NHL), Central Professional Hockey League (CPHL), Canadian Amateur Hockey League (CAHL), and the International Hockey League (IHL). At 5'10, 180lbs, he played for the teams, Ottawa Senators from 1926 to 1927, 1927 to 1928, and 1928 to 1929, London Panthers from 1927 to 1928, Niagara Falls Cataracts from 1928 to 1929, Hamilton Tigers from 1929 to 1929, Cleveland Indians from 1930 to 1931, and 1932 to 1933, Cleveland-Pittsburgh from 1931 to 1932, Boston Cubs from 1933 to 1934, and 1934 to 1935, Cleveland Falcons from 1934 to 1935, and Buffalo-Rochester from 1935 to 1936. He won the Stanley Cup in 1927, and in 1936 he left professional hockey and went back to playing in the amateurs.
