FORT WORTH - Charles M. Berry, 100, retired principal of Paschal High School, passed away Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in the sanctuary of University United Methodist Church. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He was born July 19, 1905, in Granger and graduated from Gatesville High School. He was a former student of Southwestern University and held B.A. and M.A. degrees from Baylor University. Charles was associated with the Fort Worth Public Schools for 42 years as a teacher, coach, counselor and administrator.

He was a member of the Southwest Conference Football and Basketball Officials Associations, National Education Association, Texas State Teachers Association, Fort Worth Retired School Employees Association and University United Methodist Church.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Neitha Berry.

Survivors: Daughters, Beverly Douglass of College Station and Dixie Berry Boley of Addison; son, Mark Berry of El Paso; niece, Mrs. Edna Louise Maples of Fort Worth; nephew, Dr. Wilkes Berry of Denton; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
