Melissa was born in Chicago, Illinois, oldest child of Gary and Shirley Russell. Melissa grew up in Northern Kentucky and later moved to central Ohio. She was a very outgoing woman who made friends with everyone. Melissa loved her family more than anything, especially her children. She was best friends with her sons, and loved to share in "girl time" with her daughter, fixing her hair and painting her fingernails. Melissa also had enjoyed traveling. As a young girl, she loved to accompany her Dad on his truck driving trips. As an adult, Melissa enjoyed her family vacations, especially the trips to Niagara Falls. She will be greatly missed by her children, Andrew Ivey, Justin Russell, and Andrea Ivey; parents, Gary and Shirley Russell; siblings, John Russell, Danielle Russell, Bryan Russell, and Belinda Russell; children's father, Andre Ivey; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Melissa's physical body may have departed from this earth, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all.
