Mr. Beveridge was the son of Lyda Jane (Wallace) and Kennedy Mayne Beveridge, who lived most of their lives in Belmont County, Ohio, but spent a few years in St. Clair Co, IL, and Sulphur Springs, MO. They returned to Ohio when Bert was still a toddler. His father and grandfather were coal miners and engineers, and Bert became a mine electrician.

He married Carrie May Bondy, 10 Jan 1905, in Moundsville, WV. Their son, Earl Otho Beveridge, was born 17 Feb 1910, in Powhatan Point, Ohio. Bert and Carrie divorced about 1920; Carrie married Alva Lee Hendricks in 1924.

Later Bert married Irene Moore, and they lived in Canonsburg, PA, by the time of the 1930 US Census, at 30 College Street. By the time of Bert's death in 1932, they were living at 213 South Central Ave., in Canonsburg. Bert was killed in a Chartiers Creek Coal Co. mine accident.
