Mary Hildreth
Mary Lou Hildreth of Eugene died Oct. 2 of age-related causes. She was 95. A private family service is planned.
She was born Sept. 7, 1916, in Uniontown, Pa., to D.H. and Martha Stouffer McGee. She married Clifford Hildreth on Jan. 1, 1942, in Ames, Iowa. He died Aug. 15, 1995.
She held a bachelor's degree from Hood College in Frederick, Md., and attended graduate school at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. She taught middle school for 49 years in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Minneapolis, Minn.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jane of Sweet Home and Susan of Seattle; two sons, Richard of Eugene and Robert of Point Reyes Station, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
