Professional Hockey Player. Stein was born on September 13, 1913. He played the position of goalie for several teams in the Iceon Adult Hockey League (IAHL), American Hockey League (AHL), and the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for, Syracuse Stars from 1936 to 1937, 1937 to 1938, and 1938 to 1939, Omaha Knights from 1939 to 1940, Providence Reds from 1939 to 1940, Toronto Maple Leafs from 1939 to 1940, and the New Haven Eagles from 1940 to 1941, and 1941 to 1942. After he retired from hockey in 1975, he served as a sports director for 12 years and manager for 8 years of the Leaside Memorial Gardens, and was a sales rep for Hiram Walker Distillery.
