Martin Campbell, an old railroad man and up to the time of his last illness watchman at the Fifth and Romig streets railroad crossing, died this noon at St. Elizabeth hospital after an illness of two weeks with dropsy. Mr. Campbell made his home at the Cincinnati House and during his railway career he was employed on the Monon and Lake Erie. He was about 60 years old and is survived by one son, Fred, of Thorntown, and three married daughters, residing in Montana, Minnesota and Indiana. The son arrived late this afternoon to take charge of the remains which were taken to the Evans-Templeton parlors.
