VEGA - Johnnye Doshier, 78, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Vega United Methodist Church with the Rev. Alan Williamson, chaplain of Ware Memorial, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery of Vega by Boxwell Brothers of Vega.

Mrs. Doshier was born in Claude and was the seventh of nine children born to Robert Luke and Bertie Weeks Bagwell. She married George B. Doshier on Sept. 27, 1946.

They moved to Vega in 1948 and she had lived in Amarillo for the last four years. She and her husband upon retirement, and before his death in 1999, enjoyed spending time in Zapata and Lake City, Colo. She was a member of Vega United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, David Doshier of Vega; three daughters, Diana Mayhugh of Macau, China, Nancy Brackett of Lubbock and Betty Backer of Taos, N.M.; two sisters, Janice Beach of Phoenix and Imogene Bagwell of Amarillo; a brother, Don Bagwell of Amarillo; a sister-in-law, LaNell Gunter of Claude; her grandchildren, Stephen Mayhugh and wife, Marguerite, Daniel Mayhugh and wife, Anna, Jonathan Mayhugh, David Mayhugh, Benjamin Brackett and wife, Crystal, Catherine Brackett, Stephanie Brackett, Joanna Brackett, Lee Backer, Kellen Backer, Travis Doshier and Valerie Doshier; and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Park Cemetery, P. O. Box 496, Vega, TX 79092; or a favorite charity.

The body will be available for viewing today at Boxwell Brothers in Amarillo, 2800 Paramount Blvd., and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Boxwell Brothers in Vega.
