Mrs. Leah H. Martin, widow of Henry Martin, died on Friday June 13 at her home, near Weaverland, from paralysis, age seventy-nine years, leaving 13 children, 70 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren. She was a Miss Martin before marriage. The children surviving are; Leaman, David, Martin, and Mrs. Leah Shirk, of Weaverland; Henry, of Hinkletown; Jeremiah and Mrs. Henry Hurst, of Union grove’ Barton, Blue ball; Mrs. Harry Hoover and Mrs. John Zimmerman, of Reidenbach’s; Mrs. Martin Nolt, Vagonville, Rufus, of Weaverland, and Amos, of Adamstown. She was the sister of Joseph Martin, of Murrel; Israel Martin, East Earl; Elizabeth Martin, Goodville. The funeral was held on Tuesday morning at ten o’clock from the late home, with further services at 10:30 in the Weaverland Mennonite church, Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
