Henry Charles Zimmerman
(March 26, 1925 - October 3, 2011)

Henry Charles Zimmerman - 86, of Sellersville, PA; formerly of Oak Island, NC passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Rockhill Mennonite Community.

He was the beloved husband of Mildred (Neumann) Zimmerman for 60 years.

Born in Larksville, PA, son of the late Silas and Katherine Zimmerman.

Hank served during WWII with E Company, 506th Parachute Infantry, 101st Airborne Division. He was a member of the "Band of Brothers" in the European Theatre.

After returning from service, he was employed by Phelps Dodge Copper Products, of Elizabeth, NJ. Hank retired in 1987 after 33 years of service with M&M/Mars Inc., Hackettstown, NJ.

He was a member of Ocean View United Methodist Church of Oak Island, NC. Hank loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener.

In addition to his wife he is survived by: Penny Zimmerman, daughter of West Chester, PA; Carla Derck, daughter and her husband, Joseph of Bangor, PA; Jeffrey Zimmerman, son and his wife, Lori of Sellersville, PA; Raymond Zimmerman, brother and his wife, Joan of East Stroudsburg, PA; James Zimmerman, brother of Denton, TX; Eight grand children: Austin, Pamela, Ryan, Kevin, Patrick, Morgan, Zachary, and Piper.

He was preceded in death by three brothers; William, Silas and Robert Zimmerman.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Rockhill Mennonite Community Chapel, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, PA where friends may meet with the family from 9 to 10 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Ocean View United Methodist Church, 8700 Oak Island Drive, Oak Island, NC 28465 or Hospice Memorial Fund c/o Grand View Hospital, 207 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, PA 18960 or 101st Airborne Division Association, P.O.
