Prentis was born to Franklin S. & Melvina A. Tabor-Clark and had one brother, Jasper Scott Clark. He married Carrie Belle Whittington Oct. 7, 1900 in Fort Scott. Their children were Thelma Etoille, Ethemere Juanita, Harry Russel and Hubert Hinton Clark. Prentis was a carpenter for the railroad and also a farmer in Drywood,KS.
