Brian Andrew Wynn, 36, a native of Robertsdale and resident of Fairhope, passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011 in Fairhope.
Brian was a member of Fairhope United Methodist Church and a former member of Daphne United Methodist Church. He was currently a student at the University of South Alabama College of Engineering and an avid Auburn Tiger fan.
Highly sensitive souls don't always last as long as the rest of us. But while they are here, they are capable of heroic kindness, inclusion and example.
Born the son of Cherie McAlpine and Max Wynn, his good and tender soul shone bright and obvious to those of us with eyes to see. With talent to love he navigated this life, chose curriculum to match his own heart and came to marry Candi and embrace her son, Leon, as his own.
The shepherd and architect in him elected a path toward earthly home. In this, he became a man and elected the care of others over himself and created with Candi their son, Justin.
Love abounds in family. Big brother to his sister, Jaime, Brian remains gorgeous evidence of our own heart's strength and vulnerability. Love rooted in Leon and Justin will continue to grow, as will we, having had him here for a while, long enough for it to stick.
We are not all on the same clock. May we relish what and who we have in every day, as we are each other's blessings.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Candi Mathews Wynn of Fairhope; two sons, Leon Steven Wynn of Fairhope and Justin Andrew-Halleck Wynn of Fairhope; mother, Cherie (Bill) Hinz of Boothville, La.; father, Max (Phyllis) Wynn of Daphne; sister, Jaime (Tim) Wynn of Birmingham; paternal grandmother, Edith Wynn of Fairhope; uncle, Bobby McAlpine of Nashville, Tenn.; aunt, Barbara Ladnier of Daphne; numerous adoring brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, from 5-7 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at 2 p.m., at Daphne United Methodist Church. Brian will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be at Wynn Cemetery, Summerdale.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brian Andrew Wynn Memorial Fund, Wells Fargo Bank, Fairhope, AL. 36532.
Arrangements by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes and Crematory, Fairhope.
