Rites Held For Mrs. J. Schrader on Tuesday
CENTER JUNCTION--Ida Sophia, the youngest of a family of six children was born the daughter of John and Sophia Lucksteadt on September 3, 1868 near Charlotte, Iowa and was baptized in the Lutheran faith, a month later. In 1883 she joined the Lutheran Church, by confirmation. Her girlhood was spent in Clinton county. As a young woman she came to Madison township, Jones County, where she was married to John Schrader on February 12, 1901 at the home of her sister, the late Mrs. Fred Storm. Their entire married life was spent in Jones Co., many years in this immediate vicinity. Her husband passed away Sept. 25, 1934. Mrs. Schrader had been in poor health, the past two years and was taken to Mercy Hospital, Anamosa by ambulance, January 31 following a cerebral hemorrhage. She died there on February 12. 1949, at the age of 80 years, 5; months, and 9 days. Only survivors are her children, Ella, Arnold, Norris, Myron and Ben all at home. Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian Church at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday with Rev. Dale Cunningham officiating. Mrs. Arthur Wilcox sang accompanied by Mrs. T. E. Stanton on the piano. The pall-bearers, were August Schrader, Albert Schrader, George Luckstaedt, August Luckstaedt, Rollie Luckstaedt and Arnold Storm. Burial in the Wyoming cemetery.
