William Thomas Rothwell was the son of Waller Rothwell and Annis Mae Galloway. William married Amanda J. Gibson in 1868 and their children included Wm Lewis, Geo W., Joseph Walter, Susan G., Robert and Agnes. The family moved Texas in the late 1870's as the couple's last child, Agnes was born in Texas. Amanda died in Apr 1879 in Red River, Texas of dysentry. William T married Sarah 'Sallie' Rebecca Files and their children included Jesse Guy, Richard Francis, Ruel Leslie and Abner Lee.
