Mr Bailar was a 1937 graduate of Harrison-Adams High School, Rosewood and was a self-employed farmer. Donald was also a former Adams Township trustee. He was a member of the Rosewood United Methodist Church and a 60 year member of Boggs Lodge 292, Free and Accepted Masons, DeGraff. On October 20, 1942, Donald married the former Mary Engelhaupt. She survives along with three sons, Gary Bailar of Saint Paris, Alan (Pamela) Bailar and Kurt (Patti) Bailar, both of Rosewood; eight grandchildren, Jerri Lynn (Steve) Prim and Brian (Kristine) Bailar, both of Kettering, Jackie (Tod) Spornhauer of Dublin, Joshua Bailar of Columbus, Nathan Bailar of Bowling Green, Mary Beth Bailar of Westerville, Kari Bailar of Plymouth, Michigan and Leslie Bailar of Cincinnati; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Bruce and one sister, Mary Virginia Terrell. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 11 am in the RICHESON-WICKHAM AND ATKINS FUNERAL HOME, Saint Paris with Reverend Beverly Avers, Pastor of the Rosewood United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
