Johnny Walls, 67 was born July 23, 1907 in Marked Tree, Ark., son of Will and Lou (Smith)Walls. He married Hester White on Dec. 24, 1930. He died Jan. 3 at his home in Portageville.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at DeLisle Funeral Home Chapel. Tev. Hershel Godair officiated burial was in the Portageville cemetery. Pallbearers were Bobby Thacker, Ben Reams, Junior Russell, Jerry Brasher, John Montgomery and W.C. James.
He survived by his wife, Hester, five sons, Roger, Buford, Donald Ray and J.C. all of Portageville, Estel of St. Louis, five daughters, Evelyn Harp, Coolidge, Ariz. Mary Lou Hart of Ontario Calif., Deloris Cook, St. Louis; Joyce Walls of Portageville; Geraldine Ablis of Palermo, Calif., 19 grandchildren, three brothers Adolphus Walls, Batavia, Ill; Coleman Walls, Benton Harbor Mich. and Robert Walls of Tucson, Ariz.
