MARION - Funeral services for H. B. Avant, who died suddenly at his home in the Brittons Neck section of the county Saturday, were held at Friendship Church yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment was made in Reedy Creek Cemetery. The Rev. B. F. Allen, pastor of the Marion Baptist Church, was in charge.
